It all started with as little as 50 ml of Jojoba oil, a few neglected Jojoba scrubs near Swakopmund and an unusual and unique idea.
By now, it turned out that Jojoba scrubs are the perfect match to sun-, heat- and drought-affected Namibia and represent an incredible opportunity to raise livelihoods of many previously disadvantaged in rural areas.

Workshops regarding planting, irrigation, fertilization and processing of Jojoba
Up to 6000 Jojoba plants on one plantation
Project for more prosperity and equality in Namibia
Jojoba is the ideal desert plant:
only requires little water

New Jojoba plants are made from cuttings to grant the best genetic material
More than 4 hectar of dry land are cultivated with Jojoba plants now
Rosa welcomes us on her thriving Jojoba plantation
named Gubasen which means: when you fall, stand up again – and never give up!
Rosa shares her experience with us and new farmers to come:
ʺLadies, don’t get me wrong. This means really hard work!
But it’s definitely worth – for my kids and my family and our self-determined lives.ʺ
Farming on sustainable principles, this modern voltaic – energy- set up supplies Rosa with needed elecricity.

BEAUTY & SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
go hand in hand!

Taking it a step further:
During development of the first jojoba plantation with Rosa near Omdeldam, our team members drew our attention to their families and friends staying far North in Namibia who are out of possibilities to earn a steady income to sustain their lives. At this stage, more than 50 % of the Namibian population is unemployed and rural depopulation is a tangible problem. Incorporating the northern regions of Namibia into the project was a matter of heart now.
The halfway finished educational
centre at Engava village
We were filled with enthusiasm when we discovered that these villages are surrounded by innumerable indigenous trees from which oil has been distracted traditionally for centuries. Our curiosity was triggered and the laboratory tests proved them right: Marula and Mongongo oil have incredible skin properties!
With implementation of Educational Harvesting Centers in North Namibia, we reach more than 1500 people who benefit from the workshops and are enabled to profitable sell their precious raw material.
Harvesting Centers create jobs & support up to 1500 woman
Marula and Mongongo oil are innovate and still traditional ingredients for cosmetic industries
Workshops regarding harvesting and processing secure high quality standards
Afforstation forms part of our cross-generational project
What can WE do:
All social engagement starts with one first step into the right direction and no matter how big or small, it is dearly appreciated and makes a difference.
